referring to "retrofit" kits like the Kaixen, Phillips, etc etc. Even so, at $1000...if you can find someone reputable
to do the job at that price and you get a finished product of
near-OEM quality, and not a hackjob, PLUS the cost of
headlights (only a fool would do this without keeping a spare
set in case it goes tits-up)...For a couple hundred more, the
OEM lights are worth the peace of mind and they are
debatably nicer looking. Not "totally" worth it by a stretch to anyone with good sense.
